DESIGN IS BREAKING UP PICTURE SPACE
|
The Eighth Grade Breakup art assignment has to
do with determining the use of various spacial areas in actual pictures.
We start by finding a picture that is interesting and has good design and variety features. The key is to note all the major shapes or areas that occupy the spaces. These spaces are drawn using a free hand approach and completed using a straight line (ruler) method to suggest the darkness or the textures of the spacial areas. Some areas will have sharp and distinct boundaries, others will soft, blurred or indistinct. Various kinds of lines can be used to suggest textures and soft edges. |
